Description:
From what we know this machine is built in the 1980s. It is an Ex Coates hire machine. These models came out of the factory with CAT, Detroit & Deutz engines, It has been retrofitted with a Cummins 4BT3.9 engine. Same as later model IR SD100 machines. We are unsure of the hours.
The machine was working when we bought it. On further inspection our fitter found a broken steering cylinder bracket and milky hydraulic oil. We welded the steering bracket and changed the hydraulic oil. We also changed a broken wheel stud, changed the seal on the RH wheel end, Changed the park brake air valve (on the diff). Adjusted the air park brake, changed the hydraulic filters, straightened the steps, repaired a crack near the diesel tank.
We ran the machine & tested all functions. The drive is responsive and the Vibration works well. the previous owner has had the machine locked in Low speed.
There doesnt appear to be any hydraulic leaks, there is evidence of oil wet areas around the rear of the engine and steering cylinders. Some Hydraulic hoses are worn from the outside and will need possible replacing in the future.
There is Air conditioning fitted but not operational. The paintwork is faded and several windows require replacement.
We have not got the room in our yard to test the roller to its full capacity.
