These machines are excellent in areas where space is limited. The PD-4 will operate from a pit only 50 inches long. Despite its small size the PD-4 has a thrust force of 37,714 lbs @ 3,000 psi and a maximum push rate of 9 feet/minute. The PD-4 can install up to 4 inch ID pipe in most compressible soils.
