1985 MITSUBISHI MS580 Excavator, Serial Number 158, 608.1 Engine Hours Showing, Powered by a Caterpillar 3406C 6 Cylinder Diesel Engine rated at 500 HP. The 14' undercarriage is in great shape with 36" Triple Bar street Pads. The shipping cab height is 12', The track to track width is 12' 10". The total weight is approximately 160,000 pounds. To ship: #1. Remove rear counterweight = 40,000 pounds, 2. Remove 15' stick and dirt bucket = 14,000 pounds, 3. Remove 26' Boom = 29,000 pounds. Then the remaining block unit should weigh approximately 77,000 pounds for shipping. The bucket is a five foot dirt digging bucket. All oils (engine and hydraulic) and filters were changed before we cleared 10 acres of trees. Did not have any issues with operating this excavator. This unit starts on a dime and all functions seem to operate as they should. I did not notice excessive blow by when operating this unit for video. Located in Springfield Ohio 45501.
